The feisty little brunette on the sidelines.
I watch her. I study her.
I want her.
She’s my new goal.
And it won’t be easy.
Not to mention she’s the enemy.
We both know being together will stir up a storm.

No matter how hard she fights, I’m going to make her mine.

It was well received by thousands of readers and became a bestseller in Romance Suspense on Amazon.

Alexis Noelle
Alexis Noelle lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her husband, and three kids. On top a writing career, she is a full-time student and a full-time mom. She loves spending time with her kids, although she has to hide the computer from them when she is writing! She loves being active and being outdoors, especially if it involves any kind of shopping.
She has always been passionate about writing. She loves to read romance books and feels like being able to lose yourself in a book is one of the more exciting aspects. The books she loves to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. Alexis believes that you should have an opinion on every character in a book whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something.
She also believes that the most important critic is your reader, so she loves to hear from the readers. She wants her fans to be open & talk to her about what they want for the characters in the story, and what they would like to see happen.

“What do you want Dawson?”
“Ha! So you do know who I am. And here I thought we needed introductions.”
My eyes roll. “Everyone knows who you are. I’m not an idiot.”
His body reaches me and he completely towers over my short frame. I can’t help but feel a little intimidation but I can’t let him see that. I won’t.
“I just want to finish our conversation from before that little interruption. I know you saw me last night. Just admit; you were watching.”
His voice deepens as his eyes turn dark, seeping with tease and lust. I gulp, returning his stare and know that I can’t lie my way out of this mess.
“You’re right, I did see you last night. I was watching. But, it’s nothing I haven’t seen before. You just caught me off guard. I wasn’t expecting to see that and that’s why I was staring.”
His eyes squint, trying to decipher what I just mumbled.
Just as his mouth opens, the valet driver returns with my car, pulling up to the curb. “Your car, Miss Andrews.”
I step away from Dawson and spin to face the driver. I thank him and walk around the car toward the driver side as the valet holds open the door for me.
Just as I’m about to climb inside, Dawson grabs the valet by his jacket and pushes him away and shuts the car door. “Buzz off kid, we’re busy here.”
My mouth drops as Dawson sends the driver inside. “Why would you do that? He’s just doing his job.”
Dawson snickers, “Please. He’s just trying to score points with you. I could have seen that shit from a mile away.”
I shrug, standing against the driver side door. “And what if I wanted him to. That’s none of your business.”
He chuckles deep under his breath then inches his head, closer to mine. “Yeah? And I bet you would have been thinking of me instead.”
His fingers reach up, grazing my skin, igniting it on fire as the heat from our touch scorches between us.
He whispers, “Just admit it Peeps…you want me to --.”
My mind snaps out of the trance and I immediately push him away from me. “No, stay away from me.”
I open the car door and jump inside, immediately shifting the car into gear. Just as I’m about to pull away, he taps the window and I can hear his voice chime through the glass.
He gives me a devilishly handsome and conniving smile. I can’t help but feel excitement and aggravation all at the same time. “You can’t run from me forever. This ain’t over.”
<![CDATA[A Valentine for You, Please Open Soon.]]>Tue, 14 Feb 2017 13:00:00 GMThttp://brenda-sparks.com/blog/a-valentine-for-you-please-open-soon
Have you ever imagined a perfect date? I have. In fact, I put the date in my latest story, Alpha Lover, and I'd like to share it with you
My idea of a perfect Valentine's date would be riding in a horse-drawn sleigh out to a frozen pond. When the sleigh crests the rise, the scene greeting us would remind me of a Thomas Kinkaid painting. At the bottom of the hill, a frozen pond would sparkle in the moonlight with rainbow prisms dancing on the ice. Bare trees, their branches heavy with snow, would line the pond. Candles would hang from the bowing branches, and their dancing flames would make the snow glitter with the ambient light. Tiny frozen crystals would bid us a lustrous welcome.
My date would rein the horse to a stop then he would reach under the seat and pull out a pair of ice skates. We would go skating, hand in hand, gliding over the pond while the snow sparkles around us.
What is your idea of a perfect date? Leave me a comment below and share.
While you come up with your ideal date, I'd like to share some special news.

Alpha Lover was my favorite story to write. I adore Nicholai. Hands down, he's my all-time favorite character. Luckily for me, I found a real man who was just like him. My heartmate is sweet, kind, thoughtful, romantic, and sexy all rolled into a handsome package. I'm a lucky, lucky woman who had her book boyfriend come to life. This Valentine's will be filled with surprises, and I can't wait to see what he has in store.

I hope you have a Valentine's Day that is filled with special moments and love, regardless of whether you spend it with your book boyfriend, a loved one, by yourself, or any other way you choose.

Title: The Evolution of Ivy: Poison
Author: Lauren Campbell
Genre: Contemporary Romance with Psychological element
Cover Designer: Murphy Rae from Indie Solutions
Editor: Madison Seidler

They won't recognize the new me.
But they know the old me well—the me she harmed, and the me he loved.
She thinks she has him. But I'm going to take him back.
He thinks she's the one. But I'm going to show him he's wrong.
I thought it was over. But now I have a chance.
Lauren Campbell lives in Atlanta, GA, with her family, and is author of The Evolution of Ivy: Poison.
She was raised in Columbia, SC, with her three sisters who annoy her greatly.
An avid reader since early childhood, Lauren discovered her love for writing several years into owning a successful newborn photography business. After reaching out to author Colleen Hoover in 2013 for advice, Lauren painstakingly pieced together a heap of garbage loosely based on her personal life that she decided to trash. After one year of being on hiatus, Lauren subsequently came up with the idea for Poison after being inspired by a photo on the internet. She wrote Poison in three weeks. It is not a heap of garbage, has no personal ties, and is filled with characters Lauren cares more for than some of the real people in her life. But don't tell anyone that.
Lauren's social life is pretty boring, but she loves reading, coffee & hot tea, and living in her pajamas. She's a glutton for punishment, and regrettably signs up for things like Room Mom in her children's classes, leaving her up all night doing things like baking dozens of cookies between swear words. Her favorite food is avocado. If she could, she'd find a way to put it on everything.
Lauren is done writing in third person now.

Bringing the mug to my lips, the last drop of lukewarm coffee slides down my throat as the waitress zips by. I sigh, my hand halting in midair before coming to rest on the table again. I can't do much of anything without coffee. Can hardly remember my old name without the heavenly liquid, much less my new one. If I'm going to craft any sort of decent plan to get Brooks back, I'll need a refill.
Despite her Facebook telling me she frequents this place, Eliza is still MIA. Perhaps she isn't eating. Maybe she'll starve to death. But Lord knows I've eaten plenty for the both of us. I'm unwilling to get fat waiting on her, but the smells of freshly cracked eggs and crisping bacon prevent me from simply having a coffee. The breakfast aromas must drift far from the building, because all the self-important losers of Brookhaven keep packing the place like sardines. I'll give it until the end of the week before coming up with another plan. Which would suck, because—
Holy. Shit.
There she is. A crown of blonde shifting nervously from foot to foot at the front door. Two douchebags engage her, because she's pretty—okay, beautiful … whatever. Raised brows and sly smiles adorn their faces. She rolls her eyes. Raises a hand to flaunt the rock that should be on my finger instead. Stubborn, they keep trying. She steps to the counter, shakes her head at the staff, then shrugs in exasperation. A whoosh of hair as she spins around, heading for the door.
Every day until the wedding is precious. I can't let her go. Without thinking it through, I bolt from the table. My feet are quick as I beeline for her, and then fingertips finally connect with her shoulder. “Hey!”
She spins, blue eyes staring at my own. Unable to speak, I stare back. I'm afraid, terrified she will recognize me, even though she couldn't. It's impossible. I don't even resemble Ivy."
<![CDATA[Don't Miss Tsunami Crimes by Chrys Fey-a Great Story and a Giveaway Too]]>Thu, 26 Jan 2017 08:00:00 GMThttp://brenda-sparks.com/blog/dont-miss-tsunami-crimes-by-chrys-fey-a-great-story-and-a-giveaway-tooWelcome Chrys. I'm thrilled you stopped by to share a little about yourself and your latest release. Let's begin by playing the question game.
My Question for Chrys:
If you could be any of your characters, who would you choose and why?

I’m tempted to say Beth Kennedy from the Disaster Crimes Series because of her love with Donovan Goldwyn and her strength, but when I thought of everything she’s gone through—a hurricane, earthquake, and now a tsunami—I paused and changed my mind. I put this woman through the ringer. I created her and I love her, but I don’t think I’d want to be her.
The character I would like to be is little known…she is Avrianna Heavenborn from Ghost of Death. I also put her through the ringer in her unpublished books, but she is so fascinating that I could forget those things. You see, she has supernatural abilities that are literally out-of-this-world. Her hands can burst into flame, nothing can break her skin, and she has exceptional strength. She’s also stunning with silvery-blonde hair and neon green eyes. I can’t share anything about her story, as I am hoping to one day publish more about her, but there are a few other things besides her powers and looks which makes being her even more desirable. Remember her name. One day, when her series is published, you’ll be able to find out just what I mean. ;)

Please tell us about your latest release, Tsunami Crimes.
Beth and Donovan have come a long way from Hurricane Sabrina and the San Francisco earthquake. Now they are approaching their wedding day and anxiously waiting to promise each other a lifetime of love. The journey down the aisle isn’t smooth, though, as they receive threats from the followers of the notorious criminal, Jackson Storm. They think they’ll be safe in Hawaii, but distance can’t stop these killers. Not even a tsunami can.
This monstrous wave is the most devastating disaster Beth has ever faced. It leaves her beaten, frightened. Is she a widow on her honeymoon? As she struggles to hold herself together and find Donovan, she’s kidnapped by Jackson's men.
Fearing her dead, Donovan searches the rubble and shelters with no luck. The thought of her being swept out to sea is almost too much for him to bear, but the reality is much worse. She’s being used as bait to get him to fall into a deadly trap.
If they live through this disaster, they may never be the same again.
